This is a collaborative effort between JJC departments: Workforce Development, Corporate & Community Services, Division of Adult & Family Services, and Allied Health/Nursing, to advance bridge programs as a model for providing low income, low skilled individuals with career opportunities in the healthcare industry. This project is funded through a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families which is administered by The Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago.
The goal of this project is to provide training and support to help people improve their skills and find better jobs. The Federal Government is conducting a study requiring every person eligible for HPOG to be selected through a lottery system. Those not selected through the lottery will not be able to participate in any HPOG program.
