K-9 Good Citizen Obedience (LLC 3620)
Join in a fun and friendly environment to training your pet basic obedience and preparing for the Canine Good Citizen Certification from the American Kennel Club. Working as a team, owners and pets will learn to be in understanding with each other. Owners will lean about the common fallacies of canine training and common errors made while training pets. Work with simple commands such as sit, stay, down, and come, walking on lead, and building socialization. Prepare for an AKC CGC certificate, testing will be administered by the instructor on the last day of the class. All passing participants will be given papers to register with the AKC for the Good Citizen Certificate. (AKC will charge $15 for processing; it is the owner's responsibility to submit papers and fee to the AKC) A great class for beginners!

You can't dial 911 for your pet. Do you have a plan of action in place in the event of an emergency involving your pet? Are you aware pets are not allowed in disaster shelters? Join this hands-on interactive class that will help you develop a structured plan and the tools necessary to face any emergency. Learn K-9 CPR, emergency first aid tips for a variety of conditions as well as how to assemble a K-9 first aid kit. Learn special considerations for safeguarding your pets during civil disaster activation. Do not bring pets to class.
