Heartsaver CPR (LLC 3637)
Learn adult, child and infant CPR. Lay rescuers are trained in CPR techniques and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Successful completion of a skills test is required for a course completion card. Textbook included with course.

First Aid (LLC 3801)
The Heartsaver First Aid course uses the American Heart Association guidelines to train lay rescuers how to respond during a First Aid emergency.  Participants learn the steps for medical, injury and environmental emergencies, including how to assess the situation, calling for 911, and to properly protect themselves from blood bourne pathogens.  First Aid topics include breathing emergencies, allergic reactions and use of epinephrine pens, chest pain, heart attack, fainting, diabetes, stroke, seizures and shock.  Students will learn how to deal with bleeding emergencies, fractures, burns, poisoning, and hot and cold emergencies.  Upon completion of the course, a First Aid card that is good for 2 years will be issued to the participants.
